Job summary

Center for Disability Services, Inc. in the Capital Region is seeking a dedicated Resident Counselor to join our 24/7 residential programs. Openings are available at multiple locations with flexible scheduling, including full-time, part-time, and per diem options.

You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support daily care, promote independence, and help individuals gain new skills while honoring their choices and dignity. Comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• One year of related experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a member of the person’s planning, implementation, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Assisting, promoting, and providing independence in daily treatment, care, and services of the people we support.
• Help implement personalized habilitation services, which are outlined in their personalized care plan.
• Assist in acquisition of skills, including basic activities of daily living, self-care and household management.
