Job summary

American Medical Administrators MGMT Company seeks a Social Services Designee to lead the Social Services Department in a long-term care setting, focusing on compassionate resident care, admissions support, and coordination with healthcare teams.

You will manage resident trust accounts, assist with resident shopping, schedule appointments, and maintain accurate charts and documentation. Daytime hours with occasional evenings and weekends required, reflecting a commitment to empathy and integrity.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of Social Work experience, ideally in Long Term Care setting.
• At least 1 year of supervised social work experience in health care setting working directly with individuals including those with mental challenges.
• Knowledge about Medicaid and Medicare programs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the overall operations of the Social Services Department
• Assist with facility admissions
• Manage resident trust accounts and assist with resident shopping
• Schedule resident appointments and coordinate with other departments as needed
• Maintain accurate charts and documentation of resident care
• Engage, converse, and interact with residents to promote a positive environment
• Work primarily during daytime hours, with occasional evening and weekend visits as required
