Job summary

Cascadia Senior Living is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing to support the Director of Nursing in coordinating health and supportive services for residents in the Bainbridge Island area.

The role leads day-to-day clinical operations, trains and supervises care staff, and collaborates with physicians, pharmacies, and family members to ensure high-quality, compassionate resident care. Strong leadership and geriatric nursing experience required.

Qualifications

• LPN or RN degree and active license.
• Minimum 2 years in geriatric nursing with med administration and pharmacy exposure.
• 1 year in supervisory/management with budgeting, staff development, scheduling.
• Current First Aid and CPR.
• Criminal Background and fingerprint check.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends/holidays.
• Reads, writes, speaks English.
• Meets all mandatory health/education requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day clinical operations and ensure resident care needs are met.
• Provide training, supervision, and monitoring of direct care staff.
• Coordinate with physicians, discharge planners, nurses, home health, case managers, and state agencies.
• Delegate nursing tasks per licensure and communicate with families and practitioners.
• Maintain accurate resident records and ensure timely documentation.
• Stay current on regulations and apply new knowledge to resident care.
• Represent the residence in marketing efforts and community events.
