Job summary

Sagora Senior Living, Inc. is seeking a friendly Cook for The Veraden in Edmond, OK. You’ll prepare high-quality meals for residents, monitor stock, and maintain kitchen cleanliness while supporting training of Culinary team members.

Requirements include one year in a commercial kitchen plus ServSafe Certification and a Food Handler’s permit. Excellent communication with residents, families, and staff is essential.

Qualifications

• One or more years of experience in a commercial kitchen preferred.
• Must possess ServSafe Certification and Food Handler’s permit as regulated by state and local authorities.
• Must have skills in preparing specialized dishes for specific diets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to communicate effectively with residents, families, and other team members.

Responsibilities

• Cook à la carte items.
• Monitor stock.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of equipment, food storage, and work areas.
• Assist with training of all Culinary team members.
• Follow established methods of meal preparation and presentation.
• Serve meals to residents promptly and in friendly and courteous manner.
