The role requires a high school diploma, potential prior cooking experience, ability to follow recipes for dietary needs, and strong communication with residents and staff. Beneficial are ServSafe certification and COVID-19 vaccination compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous cook/food prep experience preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with occupants, administration, and leadership.
• COVID-19 vaccination policy compliance.
• Lift/carry up to 50 pounds; stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
• Possess or complete sanitation and safety training as needed.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification required by state/county law.
• Residency within service area may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet standards.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; keep kitchen clean.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, delivering good service.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
