Job summary

Twin-Oaks-Assisted-Living is seeking a Cook to prepare meals in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, policies, and as directed by the Director of Food Services. The role emphasizes safety, sanitation, and patient-focused service.

You will ensure meals are ready on time, follow diet orders, review menus, and uphold confidentiality while maintaining a respectful environment for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Regular worksite attendance.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• If required to operate a motor vehicle for business purposes, must complete Company’s Motor Vehicles policy.

Responsibilities

• Comply with the Community’s policies and procedures.
• Report abuse/neglect to the Executive Director, RCC or Charge Nurse on Duty.
• Treat residents, family, visitors and staff with respect and dignity.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident and family information.
• Report to work on time and as scheduled.
• Follow safety and infection control policies and procedures.
• Prepare meals in accordance with planned menus and dietary orders.
• Review menus prior to preparation and ensure correct diets are served.
• Assist in maintaining food storage, inventory and supply readiness.
