Work closely with the facility's dietitian, support administrative duties, and assist with inventory and supplies to ensure smooth meal service every day. A team-oriented mindset is essential for delivering exceptional resident care.

Qualifications

• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions and follow instructions.
• Must deal tactfully with residents, family members and staff.
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas and manage supplies efficiently.
• Minimize waste of supplies and prevent equipment misuse.
• Read, write, speak and understand English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Review menus prior to preparation of food.
• Inspect diet trays to ensure correct diet is served.
• Complete forms and reports as required.
• Coordinate food service with other departments as needed.
• Work with the dietitian and implement recommended changes.
• Prepare meals per planned menus and serve appetizing portions.
• Follow sanitary regulations and safety policies daily.
• Ensure food and supplies are readily available for next meals.
