Job summary

SEM Haven in Milford, OH is seeking a cook to work cooperatively with residents and staff to create a positive dining experience. You will prepare meals in accordance with Food Safety Sanitation standards and facility policies, promoting resident choice and a pleasant dining room environment.

You will be part of a resident-centered care team, helping with daily life activities in your household and maintaining kitchen cleanliness and safety.

Qualifications

• Chef training preferred.
• Experience in cooking in a food service setting, preferably in a health care facility; certification in food safety.
• Freedom from illegal use of drugs and freedom from use and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace is essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals in accordance with Food Safety Sanitation standards, facility policies and procedures, quality improvement guidelines and local, state and federal regulations.
• Promote a positive meal experience with resident choice and a pleasant dining room environment.
• Participate in resident-centered care and team-based management and assist with daily life activities in assigned household(s).
• Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and safety in kitchen and dining areas.
