Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Cook
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines
• Skilled in preparing meals according to instructions
• Apt in operating cookware, bakeware and cooking appliances
• Friendly with good communication skills
• Good physical condition and stamina
• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in food services is a plus

Responsibilities

• Prepares all food according to the menu under the food services director
• Ensures proper preparation, portioning, and serving according to recipes
• Prepares quality food products according to recipes and menus
• Adheres to safety and sanitation standards
• Prepares food in a timely manner at meal times
• Responds to community issues or concerns in the dining room
• Follows sanitation, safety, and cleaning schedules
• Cleans all food service equipment, kitchen and storage areas
