Londonderry Village is seeking a dedicated Therapeutic Recreation Aide to provide engaging activities that support residents' physical, mental, emotional, and psychosocial wellbeing. The role emphasizes individualized, meaningful programs based on each resident's interests.

You will plan, implement, lead, and evaluate activities; coordinate outings; contribute to resident care plans; and collaborate with TR staff, residents, families, and volunteers to promote harmony and participation.

Qualifikationen

• One year of experience developing and conducting activity programs in a skilled nursing setting preferred.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Valid PA Driver's License in good standing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher).
• Willing to travel locally for outings and training.
• Ability to follow universal precautions due to exposure to bloodborne pathogens.

Aufgaben

• Complete MDS Activities—Initial Review Assessment as assigned.
• Complete required documentation including quarterly/annual activities participation review, daily attendance, and MDS Section F.
• Plan, implement, lead, and evaluate activity programs, including transporting residents to/from programs.
• Contribute to and implement resident care plans; participate in care conferences when requested.
• Schedule and conduct outings for residents, driving facility vehicles and buses safely.
• Plan programs involving groups from the outside community, including intergenerational programs.
• Develop and review monthly activity newsletters; assist in program development.
• Schedule, coordinate, and participate in special programs and visits.
