Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Minimum of two years of experience in a hospital or nursing care facility preferred.
• Must hold a current, unencumbered Occupational Therapy license in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Program Planning and Development: Develop and organize OT programs in accordance with nursing care regulations.
• Patient Care: Review orders and schedule therapy; select and administer exercises based on medical history; assist in discharge planning and quarterly assessments.
• Quality Assurance and Compliance: Develop quality assurance programs; ensure compliance with therapy laws and guidelines.
• Administrative Functions: Interpret policies to staff and residents; ensure accurate therapy charges and timely documentation.
• Safety and Sanitation: Maintain safe, clean therapy areas and follow infection control procedures.
