Qualifications

• Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state.
• Ability to read and interpret policy and procedure manuals.
• CPR certification, if required by licensure.

Responsibilities

• Treat residents as directed by the Physical Therapist.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation in accordance with facility and payer requirements.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment following infection control and equipment protocols.
• Participate in Resident Care conferences and rehabilitation meetings.
• Assist nursing with training of Restorative Aides.
• Communicate with the supervising PT to provide progress updates to physicians and family.
• Educate residents and caregivers on treatment goals and home exercise programs.
• Recommend durable medical equipment to facilitate mobility and independence.
