Job summary

St. Peters Rehab and Healthcare Center is seeking a Certified Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our therapy team and help residents achieve their goals.

You will implement treatment plans under supervision, document progress, participate in care plan meetings, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary Rehab Team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be a Certified Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).

Responsibilities

• Provides direct treatment to patients in accordance with the established plan of care developed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Detects signs of favorable or unfavorable reactions to treatment and reports adverse responses to the physical therapist.
• Records all pertinent information regarding the Physical Therapy treatment program and documents the need for skilled service.
• Maintains productivity and time management per daily schedule.
• Attends patient care plan meetings for interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Communicates patient response and progress to the supervising physical therapist.
• Participates in program development and shares best practices with Rehab Team.
• Assists patients in achieving outcomes while engaging with the community.

Physical Therapist Assistant, PTA Job Description:

The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) supports the Physical Therapist in implementing resident-specific treatment plans.

PTA) Responsibilities:

• Provides direct treatment to patients in accordance with the established plan of care developed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Is alert to detect signs and symptoms of favorable and unfavorable reactions to treatment.Reporting adverse responses to treatment immediately to the physical therapist.
• Accurately and regularly record all pertinent information regarding the Physical Therapy treatment program.Accurately and timely document the need for the skilled service in each record entry.
• Consistently perform at the required productivity level maintaining effective time management according to daily schedule.
• Attend and contribute to patient care plan meetings for an interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Communicates patient’s response to treatment and progress towards established goals with supervising physical therapist.
• Active participation in program development and clinical programming. Identify best practices for Physical Therapy practice and share with Rehab Team.
• Assist patients in achieving critical outcomes while acting as a trusted partner within the community.
