Job summary

Mosaic Life Care in Saint Joseph, MO is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant for a long term acute care setting. The on-site position supports a patient-focused care model within a comprehensive health system.

You will work under leadership supervision, treat patients with multiple modalities, educate families, and ensure proper documentation and communication with the care team as part of an evolving care plan.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program is required.
• Active PTA license in Missouri or Compact license upon hire.
• BLS certification required.

• Provides patient/family education.

Job Description

The Physical Therapy Assistant (Outpatient\\Inpatient) works under the supervision of leadership and treats patients in a variety of modalities, educate the family/patient, and assures continuity of treatment. Responsible for all necessary documentation as required by accepted medical guidelines.

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program. - Required

Licenses and Certifications

• Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) - Licensed in state of Missouri. - Required within 60 Days Or
• Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) - Compact State License - Required Upon Hire
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - Required Upon Hire

Travel Requirements

• Must be able to travel between various system facilities and off-site locations as needed. - Required
