Job summary

Cascadia Senior Living is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing to support the Director of Nursing in coordinating health and supportive services for residents. You will oversee daily clinical operations, supervise direct care staff, and ensure proactive, quality care across the community.

In this role you will train and supervise team members, assess residents’ needs, coordinate with physicians and vendors, and maintain accurate records while upholding our philosophy of care and compliance

Qualifications

• LPN or RN degree and active license required.
• Minimum 2 years in geriatric nursing with medication administration and pharmacy experience.
• 1 year in supervisory/management with budgets, staff development, training, scheduling.
• Basic computer knowledge and aptitude to learn company applications.
• Pass a Criminal Background and fingerprint check.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends/holidays.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Fosters resident-centered planning and delivery of services with dignity and respect.
• Assesses health, functional and psychosocial status; initiates service plans and manages care.
• Coordinates with physicians, discharge planners, nurses, and other professionals; arranges ancillary services.
• Delegates nursing tasks per applicable laws; communicates with residents and families.
• Provides training, supervision and monitoring of staff delivering care and medications.
• Maintains proper resident documentation and records; ensures compliance with company policies.
• Keeps up-to-date with rules/regulations pertaining to resident care; applies new knowledge.
• Represents the residence in community and marketing efforts and interacts with outside agencies.
