Job summary

VA Butler Healthcare is seeking dedicated Nursing Assistants to provide direct care in the Community Living Center. You will work with an interdisciplinary team to promote safety, independence, comfort, and well-being for Veterans, honoring their service.

Qualifications

• Education must be recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and accredited institutions.
• If foreign education is used, you must submit a Foreign Equivalency Certificate with your transcript to receive credit.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care, bathing, hygiene, feeding support, and daily living activities.
• Take and record vital signs and report changes to the RN.
• Assist with ambulation and mobility, using lifting devices and proper body mechanics.
• Provide resident-centered care tailored to needs, preferences, and habits, including safety and comfort.
• Document nursing care in policy books or electronic systems (Caribou/CPRS).
• Respond to emergencies and alert licensed personnel immediately; participate in life-saving procedures.
