Job summary

The Meadows of Napa Valley in Napa, CA is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse to provide person-centered, clinically competent care to residents with support from the management team. You will handle medication administration, care planning, and ensure compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year’s professional nursing experience, especially in long term care.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license from accredited nursing program, school or university.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Demonstrated understanding of functions, organization, policy, regulations and procedures of a long-term care/skilled nursing facility.
• Competent in use of electronic health records and other clinical software.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered, individualized, and clinically competent care with support from management.
• Delegate and assign tasks to team members while ensuring accountability and effective communication.
• Provide medication and treatment administration for an assigned group of residents.
• Manage medication administration and reconcile all medications, including controlled substances.
• Identify changes in resident conditions and report findings to physicians.
