Job summary

Eastern Health Group is seeking a Laundry Aide to maintain a clean, sanitary environment for residents, staff, and visitors. The role includes cleaning resident rooms, common areas, and staff spaces daily, following infection-control procedures.

This position also involves laundry support, restocking supplies, and safe disposal of waste to ensure a healthy living environment for residents and staff alike.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Healthcare/ residential housekeeping experience preferred but not required.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, and hallways daily following infection control procedures.
• Collect and dispose of waste per safety protocols.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors in all areas.
• Linen and laundry support: collect, sort, and deliver linens.
• Restock housekeeping supplies in resident rooms and bathrooms.
• Identify and report maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate department.
• Follow safety protocols and proper use of cleaning chemicals and PPE.
• Interact respectfully with residents while performing duties.
