Job summary

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license in Florida.
• Strong knowledge of nursing theory and practice, including medications, treatments, infection control, and patient safety.
• Ability to lift at least 51 lbs regularly and assist residents.
• Effective communication skills in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Compassionate, resident-focused care and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Follow individual service plans and administer or supervise treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Conduct meaningful rounds with all residents, accompany physicians during rounds, and document visits accurately.
• Administer intramuscular and subcutaneous injections, perform in-house testing and record vital signs.
• Document acute episodes or changes in resident status and communicate with the healthcare team.
• Coordinate with physicians, ensuring timely orders and responses.
• Prepare, order, administer, and chart medications accurately and safely.
• Supervise meals and monitor fluid intake, reporting issues to physicians or Director of Nursing.
• Complete admission assessments and discharge documentation timely.
• Supervise residents who self-administer medications per guidelines.
• Assist residents with medications reminders and activities of daily living; provide bathing, grooming, dressing, and escort services as needed.
• Perform other nursing duties to support resident care and facility operations.
