Job summary

Aston Group is seeking a Floor Nurse (RN) to provide resident-centered care in a skilled nursing setting in Florida. You will administer meds, monitor health, and collaborate with the care team to implement personalized plans ensuring dignity and well-being.

The role requires an active RN license in Florida, strong nursing knowledge, and compassionate teamwork. You’ll support daily activities, document care, and participate in rounds to promote safety and quality of life for residents.

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license in the state of employment.
• Strong knowledge of nursing theory and practice, including medications, treatments, and infection control standards.
• Familiarity with medical diagnoses and treatments relevant to skilled nursing care.

Responsibilities

• Follow resident service plans and administer or supervise treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Conduct rounds with residents and document visits accurately.
• Administer injections, perform in-house testing, and record vital signs.
• Document acute changes in resident status and communicate with the healthcare team.
• Assist physicians by contacting them and ensuring timely orders.
• Prepare, administer, and chart medications accurately and safely.
• Supervise meals and monitor fluid intake; report issues.
• Complete admission assessments and discharge documentation timely.
• Supervise residents who self-administer medications per guidelines.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing and grooming.
