Job summary

Port-Washington-Post-Acute is seeking a Dietary Aide/Dishwasher to assist the Cook in meal preparation and service for residents in our facility. You will set up trays, prepare foods, and help with meal delivery, following recipes and dietary instructions.

The role emphasizes accuracy with tray cards, allergies, textures, and portion control, plus sanitation, safety, and infection control. The position requires neat appearance, English communication, and the ability to work as part of a team.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Food Handler Certification is required.
• ServSafe certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up trays with dishes, glasses, cups and utensils for meals.
• Prepare hot and cold foods and beverages per recipes and menus.
• Serve food for meal delivery.
• Read tray cards for allergies and instructions.
• Assist with social dining and nourishments as needed.
• Clean utensils and preparation areas after use.
• Follow safety and infection control policies.
