Job summary

Healthcare Services Group Inc. is seeking a Cook to prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will ensure quality, taste, and presentation while following food safety standards.

The role requires handling dietary restrictions, maintaining a clean kitchen, and collaborating with staff to meet resident needs. A current ServSafe or Food Handler certification and residency within the service area are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a cook or in food preparation preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate with staff, residents, and leadership daily.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Must be able to lift/carry 50 pounds, push/pull 50 pounds, and stand for extended periods.
• May be required to complete an approved sanitation and safety course.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification required by state/county law.
• Residency within the service area required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet HCSG standards.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; maintain a clean kitchen.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
