Job summary

Ridgewood Terrace is seeking an experienced Unit Manager to provide clinical leadership for the Long-Term Care unit. You will supervise RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and other staff to deliver safe, resident-centered care and maintain timely documentation.

You will lead quality improvement efforts, coordinate with physicians, and support staff development while ensuring compliance with regulations and standards. On-call rotation participation is required.

Qualifications

• Current license in good standing with the nursing regulatory body.
• RN designation preferred; LPN candidates with management experience may be considered.
• 3–5 years of nursing experience in long-term care, geriatric care, or related setting.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Demonstrated leadership, conflict resolution, and team-building skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficiency with electronic health records and MS Office applications.
• Current BLS certification.
• Must be able to participate in on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership and clinical oversight of the assigned resident care unit.
• Supervise and support RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and other inter-disciplinary team members.
• Ensure safe, effective, resident-centered care in line with regulations and policies.
• Review and update resident care plans and ensure timely documentation.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and infection control.
• Investigate and address resident and family concerns, incidents, and complaints.
• Collaborate with physicians and families to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Support coaching and professional development of staff.
• Promote compliance with regulations, accreditation standards, and best practices.
