Job summary

Colonialvista in Wenatchee, WA seeks a compassionate caregiver to provide direct resident care, promote dignity and independence, and follow cooperative service plans. You will observe changes and report to health services leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct resident care while promoting resident dignity, independence, and personal choice.
• Observes residents' physical and mental conditions and reports changes to health services leadership or Executive Director.
• Provides care and services as directed by the resident's cooperative service plan.
• Coordinates personal care services with co-workers assisting with lifting and responds to assistance pages promptly.
• Reports and documents all incidents and accidents per policy; completes required notifications and incident report forms.
• Assists residents to and from dining room and activities.
• Performs First Aid and initiates emergency response procedures as required.
• Greets residents, visitors, and staff courteously and answers phones when assigned.
• Follows and supports community fire safety and infection control practices and promptly reports unsafe conditions or equipment.
• Serves meals in the dining room, assists residents at mealtime, delivers resident trays, and assists with dining room and kitchen cleanup.
• Assists with lifting, moving, and transporting residents using proper body mechanics or assistive devices.
• Assists with tours, move-ins, move-outs, and transfers.
• Attends and participates in training, in-services, and staff meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
