Job summary

Cascadia Senior Living is seeking a Caregiver in WA to assist residents with daily living activities and provide companionship in a safe, supportive environment. You will help with bathing, grooming, meals, mobility, and light housekeeping while maintaining resident dignity and independence.

Role requires empathy, strong communication, and the ability to follow care plans and policies. Training and ongoing education are provided as part of the position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous caregiving experience preferred, especially with seniors.
• Completion of caregiver training and certifications as applicable.
• Compassionate, patient and empathetic attitude toward seniors.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift and assist with resident mobility.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Current First Aid and CPR card.
• Current Food Handlers card.
• Pass a criminal background and fingerprint check.
• Basic computer knowledge and aptitude to learn company applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks considering dietary needs.
• Support mobility, transfers and basic exercises as needed.
• Provide companionship and engage residents in activities.
• Perform light housekeeping and maintain a safe environment.
• Monitor safety, respond to emergencies, and address hazards promptly.
• Communicate with residents, families, and team members about well‑being.
• Document care provided and any changes in residents' conditions.
• Attend required trainings and team meetings; collaborate with staff.
• Handle challenging situations calmly and professionally.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
