Job summary

Ocean Ridge Post Acute in Long Beach, CA is seeking a licensed CNA to provide routine daily nursing care in accordance with each resident's care plan. You will identify residents, record observations, and report changes to the Nurse Supervisor while maintaining confidentiality and patient safety on an on-site basis.

You’ll assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs as instructed, and support a calm, person-centered environment for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) per state laws; CPR preferred.
• Minimum 10th grade education.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business materials.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and communicate with managers.
• Mathematical skills including fractions, percentages, and ratios.
• Ability to solve practical problems with concrete variables.

Responsibilities

• Identify residents before administering treatments and care.
• Record entries accurately on flow sheets and charts.
• Report changes in residents' condition to Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident care information and HIPAA compliance.
• Assist residents with daily activities and personal care duties.
• Observe for, report, and prevent skin breakdowns and injuries.
• Ensure equipment is used only as trained and report faults.
