Job summary

Beacon Specialized Living is seeking a Care Team Manager to join our team and lead the day-to-day operations of one of our residential homes supporting individuals with IDD. You will guide direct care staff, ensure high-quality care, and maintain a safe, welcoming home environment.

As a hands-on leader, you will coach staff, manage scheduling and recruiting, monitor compliance with policies and state regulations, and collaborate with families and community partners to support the people we serve.

Qualifications

• Experience in IDD, behavioral health, healthcare, human services, or residential services preferred.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coach, motivate, and hold team members accountable.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with regional and operational leadership.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, 24/7 residential environment.
• Reliable transportation and ability to meet position-specific driving requirements, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and residential staff.
• Oversee the daily operations of the assigned home.
• Ensure individuals receive care and support consistent with their individual needs and plans.
• Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to team members.
• Assist with recruiting, onboarding, scheduling, and staff retention.
• Ensure required documentation is completed accurately and on time.
• Monitor compliance with company policies, state regulations, and applicable care standards.
• Support medication administration and health/safety procedures as required.
• Respond appropriately to behavioral or operational concerns and elevate issues when necessary.
• Build positive relationships with individuals supported, families, staff, and community partners.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming home environment.
• Participate in meetings, trainings, and quality-improvement initiatives.
• Serve as a hands‑on leader who is willing to step in and support the team when needed.
