Job summary

Burke in Jasper, TX seeks a Residential Assistant to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a group home setting. You will assist with daily living activities, provide active treatment, and maintain a safe, home-like environment.

The role requires a high school diploma, a Texas driver’s license, and the ability to complete required trainings. You will work a rotating schedule across day, evening and overnight shifts, and collaborate with a dedicated care team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Texas driver's license.
• Driving record that meets Burke's insurance requirements.
• Ability to complete required training, including SAMA, CPR, First Aid, Defensive Driving, Van Driving.
• Ability to work a rotating schedule that includes day, evening, and overnight shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance, supervision, and support with day-to-day living activities.
• Provide active treatment and scheduled active treatment training.
• Promote a positive, safe, and home-like environment.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the group home.
• Complete daily documentation, including active treatment data, activity notes, medication inventory records, and progress reports.
• Complete additional documentation as needed.
• Work collaboratively with other professionals supporting individuals in the home.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
