Job summary

The Bell Minor Home in Gainesville, GA is seeking a compassionate Social Services Assistant to help plan, develop, and direct our social service programs for residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing social service programs.
• Meet with administration, medical, and nursing staff to plan social services.
• Assist in developing policies for identifying medically related social and emotional needs of residents.
• Participate in community planning related to residents' interests and families.
• Complete necessary forms and reports and submit to the Director.
• Involve residents/families in planning social service programs when possible.
• Coordinate social service activities with other departments as necessary.
• Make routine visits to residents and provide services as required.
