Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Human Services field is preferred.
• Associate of Arts degree with one-year direct care experience will be considered.
• Minimum of one-year supervisory experience demonstrating leadership ability.
• Minimum of two years' experience in a direct care facility.
• Ability to lift 35 lbs. required.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Complete and document all shift responsibilities as outlined in the daily checklist.
• Implement safety and emergency procedures, including fire safety, disaster plans, and equipment maintenance.
• Assess staff performance on quality care and provide guidance.
• Address staff concerns and provide supervision and training.
• Direct and evaluate Personal Assistants' work, providing necessary feedback.
• Resolve staff issues and maintain positive relations, escalating concerns as needed.
• Review and approve incident reports for Personal Assistants.
• Schedule staff to ensure services are provided and shifts are covered.
• Document and address incidents, initiating follow-up as necessary.
• Follow departmental policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Attend training and professional development opportunities.
• Communicate with families as needed.
• Respond to resident, staff, and visitor emergencies.
• Handle property emergencies in the absence of the Facilities Director.

Education

Bachelor's degree in a Human Services field

Associate of Arts degree with one-year experience in a direct care setting will be considered
