Job summary

Springbrook NY Inc seeks an Assistant Residential Manager in Oneonta, NY. You will support the Residential Manager to keep the home safe, organized, and serene for residents who choose our program.

You will hire, train, and supervise staff, coordinate weekly resident planning, and ensure accurate documentation. You will also assist with medication administration and accompany residents to medical appointments as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associates preferred (Associates required for Golisano Program)
• Must have 2 years’ experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
• Must complete Springbrook New Manager Orientation and Leadership Training Program
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule
• Duties require professional verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in using computer software and e-mail applications, especially Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs independently and assist in lifting heavier weights
• Meet the requirements to drive Springbrook vehicles as required
• Be able to perform all physical interventions.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, and supervise engagement and performance management of Director Support Professionals in conjunction with the Residential Manager
• Coordinate daily resident planning through weekly resident meetings and trip coordination
• Serve as mentor for new hires within first 6 months
• Ensure staff complete all required documentation each shift and use shift reports for handoffs
• Maintain active programming for individuals served including daily planner, goals, services and supports
• Verify completion of duties related to medication audits, MAR checks and appointments in data system
• Provide direct care including medication administration
• Assist with medical appointments as needed
• Attend required training and staff meetings; on-call oversight during work hours
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
