Job summary

MBK Senior Living is seeking a part-time Caregiver to support residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, hygiene and mobility. The role requires teamwork, compassionate service and adherence to policies, with a schedule of Friday to Sunday, 2pm–10pm and pay of $18–$18.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Age 18 or over, or have the proper work permit and work authorization documentation.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Nurses Aid certification preferred
• Current first aid certification
• Background clearances as required by government regulations
• Complete a health screening and provide negative TB test results (must be within the last 6 months or within 7 days of employment)
• Prior Caregiving experience preferred but on the job training is available for candidates with the right attitude and desire
• Must be able to read and speak English
• Ability to follow oral and written directions
• Ability to interact effectively with people of different ages and backgrounds
• Must meet and maintain all state specific regulatory requirements

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident needs promptly while maintaining dignity and safety (50%)
• Read and follow care plans to ensure proper care (10%)
• Assist residents in daily living activities including bathing, dressing, hygiene (20%)
• Provide assistance at mealtime with meals and trays (3%)
• Transport residents safely to meals and activities (3%)
• Conduct regular safety checks on residents (1%)
• Encourage participation in daily activities (3%)
• Handle laundry and other duties as required (1%)
• Manage oxygen equipment per MD orders (1%)
• Document appropriately and report changes to supervisor (4%)
• Respond to resident alerts and emergencies (3%)
• Assist with safety drills as needed (1%)
