Job summary

MBK Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Caregiver to support residents in daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, and mobility. This role requires empathy, strong communication, and adherence to care plans.

Qualifications

• Age 18 or over, or have proper work permit and authorization
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Nurses Aide certification preferred
• Current first aid certification
• Background clearances as required by government regulations
• Complete health screening and negative TB test within time frame
• Prior caregiving experience preferred but on-the-job training available
• Must be able to read and speak English
• Ability to follow oral and written directions
• Ability to interact with people of different ages and backgrounds
• Must meet and maintain state regulatory requirements

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident needs promptly and kindly while maintaining self-respect and dignity
• Read and follow care plans to ensure proper care
• Assist residents in daily living activities (bathing, dressing, hygiene)
• Provide assistance at mealtime with serving and clearing
• Transport residents safely as needed
• Perform regular safety checks on residents
• Encourage participation in daily activities
• Lead residents in meaningful activities
• Complete laundry and assist with community duties
• Manage oxygen tanks per MD orders
• Chart and document information and notify supervisor of changes
• Respond to resident alerts and emergencies
• Ensure safety and comfort during drills
