Job summary

Century Park Associates is seeking an Assistant Resident Care Director to support the Resident Care Director in planning, organizing, developing and directing the Resident Care department. The role focuses on quality assisted living services and maximizing residents’ independence while complying with laws and Century Park standards.

The position reports to the Resident Care Director and requires a nursing background with supervisory experience and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• ASN degree from an accredited college/university (LPN or RN).
• Current nursing license in the applicable state; active in good standing.
• CPR certification at hire or obtained during Orientation and kept current.

Responsibilities

• Assists Resident Care Director with scheduling, training, and supervising.
• Reports changes in resident conditions to the Resident Care Director or Executive Director.
• Provides hands-on medication assistance and monitors med passes.
• Reads 24-hour log at start of shift.
• Ensures shift hand-off reports are completed for the next shift.
• Assists new residents with adjustment to the community.
• Participates in Fall prevention meetings.
• Maintains infection control and monitors resident care needs.
• Oversees care aides: assignments, schedules, hiring, and disciplinary actions.
• Documents resident status and communicates with physicians as needed.

Education

ASN degree / RN or LPN

Active nursing license (state)

CPR certification
