Responsibilities

• Conducts chart reviews to ensure staff documentation is accurate.
• Make daily rounds on residents to monitor condition and care needs.
• Prepares and administers medications as ordered by physicians.
• Transcribes physician orders into LTC system accurately.
• Ensures admission notes, care plans, and LTC documentation are completed.
• Ensures staff complete orientation and required training.
• Responds to call lights within five minutes.
• Assists with feeding residents in dining rooms or rooms.
• Records vital signs and nursing notes accurately in LTC.
• Maintains clean, safe, sanitary work areas and enforces safety.
• Communicates with residents, families and staff to promote positive relations.
• Coordinates appointments and transportation for residents.
• Maintains narcotic records and inventory.
• Reports to DON and participates in performance improvement.
