Job summary

Dubuque County is seeking a Program Instructor to support Sunnycrest residents with personal care, daily living skills, and communication to foster independence in school, work, and community activities.

You will maintain nursing and activity records, follow safety and infection control protocols, and complete CPI training within six months of hire. A high school diploma or GED is required, and applicants must pass pre-employment checks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must satisfactorily complete Program Instructor and Crisis Prevention Intervention training within six months of employment.
• Must pass pre-employment physical, abuse registry review, and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care, instruction and training to residents.
• Prepares clients for school, work, and daily activities.
• Teaches adult living skills including bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming and personal hygiene.
• Assists clients into and out of beds, wheel chairs, and vehicles.
• Maintains detailed records and charts on client activities and results.
