Job summary

Commonwealth Senior Living is seeking an Assistant Resident Care Director to support the Resident Care Director in planning, implementing, and evaluating the Resident Care department to ensure high-quality care and a positive resident experience. The role requires nursing qualifications, leadership ability, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and on-call as needed.

Duties include direct resident care, staff supervision, medication administration, and regulatory compliance in a geriatric

Qualifications

• Nursing leadership experience and ability to supervise direct care staff.
• State certification in medication administration or nursing school graduate.
• At least 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in geriatric, psychiatric, or rehabilitation settings.
• CPR and first aid certification.
• Willing to become trained in state assessments and service plans as required by regulations.
• Ability to work weekends, evenings, and flexible hours for resident care.
• Proficient with basic office equipment and computer use.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Resident Care Director in planning, implementing, and evaluating resident care to ensure quality and experience.
• Provide direct resident care under RCD supervision and supervise direct care associates.
• Help manage departmental staffing plans and ensure adequate coverage.
• Administer and document medications per physician orders and company policy.
• Communicate changes in resident conditions to the RCD and participate in care planning.
• Ensure compliance with Federal and State policies governing resident care.
