Job summary

Commonwealth Senior Living is seeking an Assistant Resident Care Director to support the Resident Care Director in delivering high-quality care for residents. The role combines clinical nursing with leadership responsibilities, including supervising care staff and ensuring compliance with licensing standards.

This full-time position requires weekend/evening hours and a valid nursing credential. A $2,000 sign-on bonus is offered, along with a comprehensive benefits package including health, life,

Qualifications

• Graduate of a state-approved school of practical nursing or has a current active state certification in medication administration.
• At least one (1) year of nursing experience, preferably.
• Experience with administration of medication and care in geriatric, psychiatric or rehabilitation nursing.
• Certified in CPR and first aid.
• Demonstrates leadership skills and sound nursing judgement.
• Able to show compassion toward cognitively impaired older adults and their families.
• Willing to become trained/certified in state assessments and service plans as per licensing requirements.
• Able to work weekends, evenings, and flexible hours, including on-call responsibilities.
• Proficient with basic office equipment including a PC.
• Acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maintain liaison with residents, families, and support departments to plan resident care needs.
• Ensure services comply with Federal and State policies governing resident care.
• Deliver direct resident care and supervise direct care staff.
• Report changes in residents’ condition to the Resident Care Director.
• Assist with departmental scheduling to ensure adequate staffing.
• Recommend modifications to staffing plans for optimal care within budget.
• Complete assigned resident care assessments and individualized care plans.
• Know the individualized care plans and support residents accordingly.
• Perform routine resident care rounds and coordinate with other departments.
