Job summary

Ashe Services For Aging, Inc. is seeking a hands-on supervisor to oversee caregiver staff during shifts and ensure high-quality resident care. The role includes administering or assisting with scheduled medications per MAR while maintaining privacy and documenting changes accurately.

The ideal candidate has CNA credentials, a current Medication Aide Certification, and strong English reading/writing skills, with a warm, patient, and caring approach to older adults and memory-impaired residents.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older.
• Minimum of one year experience in caregiver work preferred.
• Desire to work with older adults and those who are memory impaired.
• Nurse Aide 1 Certification, verifiable on Healthcare Personnel Registry.
• Current Medication Aide Certification.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Friendly, caring disposition.

Responsibilities

• Follow the six “rights” of medication administration (resident, drug, dosage, time, route, documentation).
• Administer/assist residents with medication per MAR, protecting privacy.
• Document clearly on the MAR after meds are given, refused, held, or changed.
• Maintain a neat med cart/room and restock as needed.
• Supervise caregiver staff on duty in providing quality care.
• Adhere to resident’s individual plan and report changes in condition.
