Job summary

The Waters of Wakarusa Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation is seeking a Housekeeping Aide to clean resident rooms and interior and exterior areas, maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents and families.

Under the direction of the Director of Housekeeping, you will follow policies and regulations, set work priorities, and demonstrate strong written and verbal English communication. A high school diploma and 1 year housekeeping experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 year of housekeeping experience is required.
• Ability to understand and carry out oral and written directions.
• Ability to set work priorities and work independently in the absence of supervision.
• Ability to meet health assessment requirements, including two-stage Mantoux skin test.
• Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, and possess sufficient communication skills to perform the tasks required.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident rooms and other interior and exterior facility areas.
• Maintain a clean and attractive environment for our residents.
• Carry out assigned duties and responsibilities in accordance with current existing federal and state regulations and established company policies and procedures.
• Set work priorities and work independently in the absence of supervision.
• Meet health assessment requirements, including two-stage Mantoux skin test.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing, and the ability to perform tasks required.
