Responsibilities

• Receive instructions for area and specific work assignment; gather supplies and equipment for transport to the area.
• Clean common areas and residents' homes; dust furnishings, wipe surfaces, wash walls/windows; mop floors and vacuum.
• Operate stepladders and mechanical vacuums; report equipment issues to supervision.
• Maintain surveillance of housekeeping carts and work areas; follow safety and infection control procedures.
• Interact with residents in a respectful, reassuring manner and communicate with staff as a team.
• Attend departmental meetings and in-service education programs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
