Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
• Must be in good standing on the Nursing Assistant Registry in the state of Texas.
• Ability to understand, remember and carry out verbal and written instructions in English.
• Ability to speak clearly and hear well enough to communicate with residents.
• Must be capable of performing the Essential Functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Follow resident assignment schedule and communicate resident conditions to the nurse.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living to promote independence and dignity.
• Care for residents including grooming, hygiene, and basic mobility within safety guidelines.
• Respond to call lights promptly and report needs exceeding your scope to the nurse.
