Job summary

Spectrum Retirement Communities is seeking a Director of Resident Care in Ohio. This full-time leadership role oversees assisted living and memory care services, ensuring compliant, high-quality resident care, team leadership, and adherence to state regulations.

Responsibilities include coordinating admissions, supervising care teams, and maintaining care plans. LPN or RN is required; geriatric care certification is a plus. Excellent communication and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• LPN or RN required.
• Strong background in assessing residents' behavioral symptoms and developing non-pharmacologic approaches.
• Advanced certification in geriatric care and experience in assisted living or residential care a plus.
• Meet state qualifications and training requirements.
• Must have computer skills – email, documents, spreadsheets.
• Must be medically able and willing to wear NIOSH-approved respirator if required by regulations.

Responsibilities

• Direct resident well-being according to state regulations to ensure appropriate care and staffing.
• Maintain knowledge of state regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Recruit, supervise, mentor, appraise, and counsel caregiving team members.
• Coordinate resident admission process including screening, assessment, care planning and team assignments.
• Ensure delivery of services as identified in care plans by delegating and communicating expectations.
