Job Description

The Director of Resident Care plans, implements, and monitors Assisted Living and Memory Care systems aligned with Spectrum’s philosophy, policies, resident rights, and state regulations. They use interpersonal and leadership skills to motivate team members in providing quality care and services, ensuring high customer satisfaction.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing resident well-being according to State regulations, ensuring standards of care and staffing levels
  • Maintaining knowledge of state regulations, policies, and procedures for compliance
  • Recruiting, supervising, mentoring, and evaluating caregiving staff in collaboration with the Executive Director
  • Coordinating resident admission processes with the multidisciplinary team, including screening, assessment, and care planning
  • Delegating and communicating expectations to ensure proper service delivery as per care plans
Qualifications

To succeed, you should have:

  • LPN or RN required
  • Experience assessing residents' behavioral symptoms and developing non-pharmacologic interventions
  • Advanced geriatric care certification and experience in assisted living or residential care preferred
  • Meeting state qualifications and training requirements
  • Computer skills for email, documents, spreadsheets, and data entry
  • Willingness to wear a NIOSH-approved N95 mask if required by regulations or policy
