Resident Care Coordinator (Finance)
Provides direct supervision of caregiving within the community. Ensures residents are treated with respect and dignity, recognizing individual needs and encouraging independence. Fosters a homelike atmosphere throughout the community.
Responsibilities include:
- Supervising resident care staff, monitoring job performance, collaborating on performance evaluations, coaching, counseling, and conducting corrective actions as needed.
- Coordinating ongoing training and education for resident care staff.
- Verifying associate hours on time cards and weekly reports, and completing nursing schedules to ensure proper coverage within budget, including arranging replacements and maintaining records of changes and requests.
- Monitoring residents' health status, addressing concerns within scope of practice, and reporting significant changes or incidents to the Health and Wellness Director.
- Assisting in medication management, including ordering, storing, and maintaining records, and administering medication within scope of practice.
- Monitoring staff in medication administration, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance.
- Observing residents, recording reactions, and communicating with community leadership about residents' conditions and reactions to treatments.
- Responding promptly to emergency calls and communicating with families regarding residents' needs and appointments.
- Assigning and monitoring vital signs, scheduling ancillary medical services, and participating in service plan reviews.
- Maintaining resident charts, participating in quality improvement activities, and conducting safety and infection control checks.
- Participating in community functions, sharing on-call duties, and supporting community professionals.
