Job summary

The Aspenwood Company - Village On the Park Plano is seeking a Resident Care Coordinator to manage medications and provide direct senior care in a homelike setting. You will follow individual service plans to promote independence and quality of life for residents.

In this role, you will orient and mentor RMAs/RAs, maintain accurate health records, and collaborate with the Director of Resident Care to ensure appropriate staffing while complying with all regulations.

Location: Village on the Park Plano, an Assisted Living with Memory Care senior community

Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday | 11:00a.m. - 7:00p.m.

Must be able to work holidays and weekends.

Primary Responsibilities

• Administer and manage medications as prescribed, monitor resident responses, and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Orient and train new Resident Medication Aides (RMAs) and Resident Assistants (RAs) through hands‑on mentoring.
• Maintain accurate resident records, documenting medication distribution, health changes, and incidents in compliance with company policies.
• Coordinate with the Director of Resident Care (DRC) for staffing needs, assist in recruitment, and support teamwork among staff.
• Follow procedures in emergency situations and respond promptly to resident requests for assistance.
• Ensure the medicine supply room and medication area are organized and compliant with regulations.
• Assist with staff scheduling and ensure adequate coverage per state regulations.
• Conduct medication audits, ensure timely refills, and maintain inventory.
• Facilitate training for new staff on medication administration and facility policies.
• Document shift reports and ensure effective communication during shift changes.

Minimum Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years of experience in a senior living community.
• Delegated by a Registered Nurse for medication administration.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Understanding of HIPAA requirements.
