Job summary

Village on the Park McKinney is seeking a Resident Care Coordinator to manage medications and provide direct, compassionate care to residents in a homelike setting. You will train RMAs and RAs, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with leadership to ensure safe and compliant operations.

The role emphasizes independence, quality patient interactions, and adherence to privacy standards as part of daily responsibilities. Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., on-site in McKinney, TX.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years in a senior living community.
• Delegated by a Registered Nurse for medication administration.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Understanding of HIPAA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage medications as prescribed, monitor resident responses, and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Orient and train new RMAs and RAs through hands-on mentoring.
• Maintain accurate resident records, documenting medication distribution, health changes, and incidents.
• Coordinate with the Director of Resident Care for staffing, assist in recruitment, and support teamwork.
• Follow procedures in emergency situations and respond promptly to resident requests for assistance.
• Ensure the medicine supply room and medication area are organized and compliant with regulations.
• Assist with staff scheduling and ensure adequate coverage per state regulations.
• Conduct medication audits, ensure timely refills, and maintain inventory.
• Facilitate training for new staff on medication administration and facility policies.
• Document shift reports and ensure effective communication during shift changes.

Location: Village on the Park McKinney

Pay Rate: $23.95/hr.

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Primary Responsibilities
