The Aspenwood Company - Village On the Park Plano in Denton is seeking a Resident Care Coordinator to oversee medication management and direct care for residents in a homelike, supportive setting. You will mentor RMAs/RAs, maintain accurate records, and coordinate staffing with the Director of Resident Care.

The role emphasizes compassionate, resident-centered care, HIPAA compliance, and effective communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of experience in a senior living community.
• Delegated by a Registered Nurse for medication administration.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Understanding of HIPAA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage medications as prescribed, monitor resident responses, and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Orient and train new RMAs and RAs through hands-on mentoring.
• Maintain accurate resident records, documenting medication distribution and health changes.
• Coordinate with the Director of Resident Care for staffing needs and recruitment.
• Follow procedures in emergencies and respond promptly to resident requests for assistance.
• Ensure the medicine supply room and medication area are organized and compliant with regulations.
• Assist with staff scheduling and ensure adequate coverage per state regulations.
• Conduct medication audits, ensure timely refills, and maintain inventory.
• Facilitate training for new staff on medication administration and facility policies.
• Document shift reports and ensure effective communication during shift changes.

Location: Village on the Park Denton, an Assisted Living with Memory Care senior community.

Pay Rate: $17.50/hr. - $19.50/hr.

Schedule: Sunday - Friday | 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Primary Responsibilities

• Administer and manage medications as prescribed, monitor resident responses, and adhere to infection control protocols.

Minimum Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years of experience in a senior living community.
