Job summary

Catholic Charities CCDOR is hiring a Counselor Assistant on a per diem basis in New York. The role involves assisting in resident care, coordinating services, and supporting daily operations in a therapeutic community setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma or GED; CASAC-T preferred.
• Two years of prior experience in substance abuse or related human service field recommended.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily care of residents and support facility operations.
• Provide person-centered care coordination and case management.
• Maintain safety and confidentiality; document progress notes weekly.
• Coordinate with service providers and transport residents as needed.
• Co-facilitate groups and prepare progress notes reflecting residents’ goals.
