Job summary

Great Lakes Management (GLM) is seeking a Resident Assistant for our West Saint Paul, MN location to provide hands-on care and support to residents according to each service agreement. You will assist with ADLs, participate in dining and activities, and monitor residents’ well-being, communicating changes to the case manager.

This PRN on-call role includes shift differentials and benefits such as a 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living.
• Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant (Preferred).
• Ability to make responsible choices and decisions and act in the resident’s best interests.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs as indicated on the individualized service agreement.
• Help each resident reach and maintain the highest level of independence.
• Provide residents with both physical and emotional support.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the resident service agreement.
• Observe residents and report changes to the case manager.
• Interact with residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection as appropriate.
• Complete all required documentation daily, service schedule, flow sheet, communication book, etc.
• Medication administration per MD orders and per guidelines/policy.
